“The usual again, eh?” Caleb tried to look completely normal, but understood that he was horrible at attempting to keep a straight face, and didn’t want this girl to mistake his interest as flirting.
Caleb turned around, relieved that his face no longer had the potential to betray his thoughts. He made the latte, but intentionally pulled the pretzel from the bin for the old ones that needed to be thrown away. 'It should be stale,' he silently guessed.
Indeed, it was.
Turning back around, he handed the girl her order. “That’ll be $7.50, miss.”
